Vision tape for larger panes of glass

• Larger single panes of glass can be a safety hazard especially if in close proximity to a walk area. Fitting vision tapes to the glass is an option to make passers by aware of the glass. In some instances, there is a Building Code requirement for this to be done.
• Exceed can advise on the Code requirements and can supply and install vision tapes as required.

Re-glaze windows or doors with safety glass

• In some applications, such as a change of occupancy of a building, it may be necessary to upgrade glazing to that of safety glass. There may be a desire to upgrade to safety glazing for the sake of safety. In either case, Exceed can advice whether or not it is possible to carry out such an upgrade. Exceed has the ability to replace glass using their own retro fit glazing bead system.

Installation of safety window stays

• To eliminate the possibility of falling out of a window, Exceed can install stainless steel safety stays to meet the required standards.
• Safety stays can also provide a low level of security to an open window while the house is occupied.
• Safety stays are a permanent restrictor to an open window. Internal egress through a window is not possible when safety stays are fitted. For the feature of security and egress, Security stays meet this need.

• Security stays restrict the opening width of a window and provide a low level of security to the open window while the house is occupied. Security stays can also be fitted to meet swimming pool requirements.
• Security stays have a number of benefits. They provide the low level of security, but can also be released to allow the window to open wide. The security stay can only be released from the inside when the window is closed, not in the open position.

Installation of deadlock window locks

• For total safety and security of a window, it should be closed and latched shut, plus be fitted with a key operated dead lock. Exceed can incorporate the key for sash dead locks into a one key system, so one key is operating all your household locks.
• Opening windows need to be in good operating condition for reliable operation of sash dead locks. Exceed can advise of the sash condition and make curative recommendations as necessary.
